Job summary

Catholic Charities of Onondaga County is seeking a Shelter Program Manager in New York to design, develop, and implement program plans that achieve daily goals. You will coordinate activities and resources, network with partners for referrals, and promote program objectives.

The role requires a Bachelor degree or equivalent with up to 3 years of relevant experience, and a valid NYS driver's license. You will supervise staff, recruit/train participants, and maintain compliance with funding

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with up to three (3) years of relevant experience required.
• Thorough knowledge of a technical field can be required.
• Valid NYS Driver's License.
• NYS driver's license check.
• State Central Register Clearance.
• Basic computer skills.
• Confidentiality, oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement program plans to achieve daily goals and objectives.
• Create and coordinate program activities and resources.
• Network with Catholic Charities and outside service providers to make appropriate referrals.
• Promote program objectives.
• Maintain and update records to meet funding guidelines.
• Direct and supervise staff and provide guidelines.
• Recruit, train and evaluate program staff.
• Recruit and evaluate program participants.
• Maintain accountability for all participants and staff.
• Serve as professional role model for staff and participants.

Responsibilities

Basic Function/Purpose: The Shelter Program Manager will help Design, develop and implement program plans to achieve daily program goals and objectives. They will create and coordinate program activities and/or resources. Network within Catholic Charities and with outside service providers to make appropriate referrals to service the needs of program participants. Promote the program objectives. Maintain and update all records in a timely manner to meet guidelines of funding sources. Direct and supervise staff and provide appropriate guidelines. Assist in recruiting, training and evaluating program staff. Recruit and evaluate program participants. Maintain accountability for all participants, assigned staff. Act as professional role model for staff and participants. Maintain guidelines established by the funding sources and Catholic Charities policies and procedures.

This is a Full Time Position. Pay Starts at $62,000.00 a year

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience Required at Entry:

• A Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with up to three (3) years of relevant experience required.

Licenses/Certificate/Clearances:

• Valid N.Y.S. Driver's License,
• NYS driver's license check,
• State Central Register Clearance.
