Job summary

Bergen Community College is seeking an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach to manage daily operations of the NJCAA Division III/Region XIX program. The role reports to the Director of Athletics and collaborates with the coaching staff to uphold the college's standards for athletics and academics.

The position requires CPR/First Aid certification, a valid NJ driver's license, and a minimum of one year coaching or playing experience at the high school or collegiate level.

Qualifications

• Education: A high school degree is required, Associates preferred.
• Experience: Coaching ability with at least one year playing experience at high school or collegiate level.
• Other: CPR and First Aid certification; valid New Jersey driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Recruit qualified student-athletes with emphasis on academics.
• Organize and train players during practices and games; develop players over time.
• Promote the basketball program through marketing, events, and community outreach.
• Ensure compliance with NJCAA rules and college policies.
• Assist with team travel arrangements and fundraising activities.
• Monitor and report scores, statistics, and game highlights.
