Job summary

Columbus Technologies & Services is seeking a detail-oriented MEMS Fabrication Technician to support our microfabrication operations in a cleanroom. You will operate a wide variety of semiconductor processing and metrology equipment, execute critical steps, and assist engineers with testing and troubleshooting.

The role requires at least 1 year in a semiconductor MEMS cleanroom, hands-on photolithography and deposition experience, and keen documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Associate's or higher in electronics/related field with hands-on MEMS experience.
• Minimum 1 year in semiconductor or MEMS cleanroom environment.
• Photolithography: spin coaters, exposure tools, and development benches.
• Thin film deposition: PVD/PECVD/ALD and related furnaces.
• Etching: wet & dry etching including RIE/DRIE and vapor phase etching.
• Metrology: optical/electron microscopy, ellipsometry, profilometry, probes.

Responsibilities

• Execute defined microfabrication steps for MEMS devices.
• Monitor tool performance, troubleshoot issues, escalate as needed.
• Perform routine calibrations, maintenance, and tool qualifications.
• Document processing results and tool data in logs/spreadsheets.
• Collaborate with process engineers, maintenance, and design teams.
• Participate in continuous improvement and safety initiatives.
• This is a full-time onsite role, Monday–Friday in the clean room.
