Job summary

Broadcom is seeking an energetic electrical engineer to validate memory compilers and lead memory test development on the latest finfet nodes. You will handle test hardware, data acquisition and software for memory validation across high-performance and low-power memories used in AI, networking and mobile chips.

The role requires hands-on work with Python and C++, plus scripting in Perl or TCL, and collaboration with cross-functional teams through all silicon validation phases.

Qualifications

• Experience in CMOS memory or datapath circuit design is required.
• Strong Linux and shell scripting skills.
• Knowledge of memory architectures including SRAMs, ROM.
• Experience with silicon testing and debug.
• Familiarity with memory failure analysis and statistical methods.

Responsibilities

• Work with product teams to define memory content on product test chips; drive consistency in memory test methods.
• Develop and configure lab and test equipment for computer controlled data acquisition.

Job Description

We are looking for an energetic and passionate electrical engineer with a strong interest in memory test and failure analysis to be part of a team responsible for the silicon validation of memory compilers utilizing the latest process technology. Our team supports memory test and validation for high performance and low power memories for use in the latest AI, networking, and mobile chips. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, self‑motivated and has a strong interest in leading edge memory circuit testing and development. You are comfortable working with Python or in other scripting such as C++, perl, and tcl. In this role, you will be involved in all phases of silicon validation, including test hardware specification and deployment, test software development, data acquisition and analysis. Your enthusiasm and passion will help our team bring the most advanced memory architectures on the leading edge finfet process node into production.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead development and definition of memory parametric test structures, work with cross functional teams to integrate parametric structures into overall test chip
• Work with product teams to define memory content on product test chips, provide direction on memory testing requirements, drive consistency in memory test methods between product teams, diagnose memory faults driving root cause thru PFA/EFA
• Develop and configure lab and test equipment for computer controlled data acquisition
• Create, modify and debug memory test software using Python programming language
• Conduct memory testing, collect and organize data. Perform data analysis using Python scripts, spreadsheets and other analysis tools.
• Document test procedures, summarize and communicate test results to memory design team.

Required Skillset

• Knowledge of memory architectures including SRAMs, Register-files, Multi-ports, ROM
• Good understanding of transistor level circuit behavior
• Skills in Python and C++ programming (preferred), perl or tcl.

Education/Experience

• Coursework or relevant experience in CMOS memory or datapath circuit design is required.
• Good understanding of SRAM transistor level circuit behavior, failure modes and techniques for statistical analysis.
• Knowledge of CMOS fabrication methods, digital circuits and device physics.
• Strong Linux and shell scripting skills
• Experience with lab equipment, silicon testing and debug.

Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years related industry experience OR Master's plus 6 years related industry experience

Compensation And Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is USD 109,700.00 To USD 175,500.00
