Job summary

Silverado in Lee's Summit is hiring part-time Caregivers to support residents with Alzheimer’s and dementia, providing hands-on daily living assistance and compassionate care. You will build relationships with residents, families, and teammates while documenting care and reporting changes to the nursing team.

The role emphasizes empathy, reliability, and strong communication in English, with training provided and opportunities for growth within a celebrated memory care leader.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or educational equivalent preferred.
• Experience caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other debilitating conditions (preferred but not required).
• Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards.
• Effective communicator in verbal and written English.
• Active role: walking, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.).
• Comfortable working around animals and pets.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and assistance with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, dining, etc.)
• Build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and fellow team members
• Support residents with memory impairments in a safe, respectful, and engaging environment
• Maintain accurate care records and report changes to the nursing team
