Job summary

Avamere Living is seeking a part-time caregiver for our assisted living community in Portland, OR. Shifts include 2pm-10pm (Eve) and 10pm-6am (NOC) with duties spanning ADLs, safety, companionship, and light housekeeping.

The role requires CPR/First Aid and a Food Handler’s Card, with EMR experience preferred. We offer a benefits package and opportunities for growth within the SEIU 503 framework.

Qualifications

• Prefer experience in Memory Care or Assisted Living.
• CPR/First Aid certification required during employment.
• Food Handler's Card required.
• Experience with electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting.
• Support mobility and transfers.
• Prepare meals and manage trays.
• Provide emotional support and companionship.
• Maintain clean, safe living areas and confidentiality.
• Respond to resident calls promptly.
• Monitor resident health and report concerns.
• Assist orientation of new residents and staff.
