Job summary

Avamere is seeking a compassionate Part Time/On-Call Caregiver for Avamere at Park Place in Portland, OR. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, emotional support, and ensuring resident safety.

Weekend availability is needed, on-call shifts across all schedules. Responsibilities include ADLs, mobility assistance, meal prep, companionship, housekeeping, health monitoring, and maintaining a safe environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Caregiver in a Memory Care Unit or Assisted Living Facility preferred.
• CPR/First Aid Certification required during employment Period.
• Food Handler's Card required prior to or during employment.
• Experience with electronic medical records documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting.
• Mobility support: assist walking, transfers, and use of mobility aids.
• Meal preparation: set up meals, cut food as needed, remove trays.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Housekeeping: maintain clean and safe environment, including laundry.
• Monitor health and report concerns to medical staff; observe vital signs.
• Respond to resident calls and maintain confidentiality and safety.
• Assist with orientation of new residents and staff; perform other duties as assigned.
