Job summary

NHC Place Sumner is seeking an Assisted Living and Memory Care Life Enrichment Director. You will develop engaging activities for memory care residents and oversee wellness staff to enhance quality of life, including evenings and weekends.

You should be energetic, organized, and capable of coordinating with multiple departments to support marketing and compliance with regulations. EOE.

Qualifications

• Desire to work with seniors; compassionate, caring and creative.
• Energetic, highly organized; knowledge of wellness domains for dementia programming.
• Education: Associate degree or two years college or two years LTC experience.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing a wellness/activities program for Memory Care, including evenings and weekends and holidays.
• Timely completion of assessments, care plans and related paperwork.
• Facilitating monthly Resident Council meetings.
• Supervising wellness assistants: training, scheduling, evaluation.
• Managing the center volunteer program: recruitment, training, scheduling, recognition.
• Ensuring compliance with local, State and Federal guidelines for programming.
• Partnering with other departments to support marketing in the community.
• Other duties as assigned.
