Job summary

River Grove Health and Rehabilitation is seeking an RN to provide bedside care in a compassionate, specialized setting. You will perform vital signs, administer medications, and document patient information while communicating with physicians and the care team.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state.
• At least 1 year of RN experience in long-term care preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care to patients, including personal hygiene maintenance.
• Record the patients' vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate).
• Collect patients' health information.
• Relay information between patients, registered nurses, and physicians.
• Give oral medications and injections to patients.
• Test a patient's blood sugar levels.
• Urinary catheter insertion and care.
• Assist patients with personal hygiene.
• Monitor for changes in patients.
• Proper charting, documentation, and maintenance of patients' medical records.
• Ask questions for clarification by the Registered Nurse.
• Act as a role model for ancillary personnel.
• Maintain the confidentiality of the patient’s clinical records.
• Provide exceptional staff training and customer service skills.
• Maintain a compassionate and friendly demeanor.
