Job summary

Marjorie Doyle Rockwell Center, part of Trinity Health, seeks a Resident Assistant for full-time days 7a-3p. Provides compassionate care under LPN/RN supervision to residents with memory impairment in a small, home-like community.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, medications, safety monitoring, promoting independence, and supporting residents' routines. We offer tuition reimbursement and scholarships, flexible schedule, and a caring team environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess patience, empathy and a genuine desire to help others.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in senior care, health care or assisted living preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility.
• Assist residents in taking medications as needed.
• Encourage and support resident independence and dignity.
• Monitor resident safety and well-being, reporting any change to the LPN.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents, understanding their personal histories, preferences and routines and anticipate needs of residents.
• Help with light housekeeping and meal service as needed to maintain a safe and clean living space.
• Participate in team meetings and communicate/collaborate with coworkers and supervisors.
• Promote a warm, friendly, and respectful environment.
