Job summary

Vertis Therapy is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team at a memory care and independent living facility in Clarksdale, MS. The PTA provides skilled treatments under a Physical Therapist and helps residents improve independence and functional mobility.

Responsibilities include treatment under supervision, timely documentation, interprofessional communication, leading team meetings, and coordinating community wellness activities.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
• Valid Physical Therapist Assistant state license or license eligibility.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to lift and assist clients; stand for extended periods.
• Proficient with documenting in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled PTA treatments under supervision to improve safety and mobility.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation.
• Communicate resident progress with PT and care team.
• Participate or lead team development meetings.
• Lead or contribute to community wellness programs and events.
