Job summary

Liberty Community Living Center is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team in Mississippi. The PTA will implement prescribed therapies to restore, maintain, and prevent decline in resident function under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities include assisting in treatment planning, guiding therapeutic activities, documenting progress in the EMR, and educating residents and families about treatment plans and equipment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association accredited school of Physical Therapy.
• One year clinical experience is preferred.
• Hold current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for residents.
• Lead therapeutic activities and exercises under the direction of the physical therapists.
• Document and monitor resident progress, reporting changes to the supervising therapist.
