Job summary

American Senior Communities is seeking a Memory Care Program Coordinator to develop and coordinate person-centered programming for residents with dementia, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to promote meaningful engagement and high-quality care.

The role emphasizes educating staff, supporting resident-centered approaches, and upholding memory care standards across long-term care settings, with a passion for geriatric advocacy and compassionate service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• Experience with residents living with Alzheimer's disease or other dementias in long-term care is required.
• Previous memory care, social services, or activities & recreation experience is preferred.
• Professional certification in dementia care or Alzheimer's care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops, coordinates, and supports person-centered programming for residents living with dementia.
• Partners with interdisciplinary teams to promote meaningful engagement and enhance quality of life.
• Educates staff and provides coaching on dementia care principles and resident-centered approaches.
• Upholds the philosophies and standards of the Memory Care Program and collaborates with nursing, therapy, social services, activities, leadership, consultants, and regulatory agencies.
