Job summary

American Senior Communities is seeking a Memory Care Program Coordinator to develop and coordinate person-centered programming for residents living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. The role partners with interdisciplinary teams to promote meaningful engagement and educate staff on dementia care principles.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in a related field and direct experience with residents in long-term care or memory care settings.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of dementia care approaches and resident-centered strategies.
• Ability to train and coach staff on dementia care principles and resident-centered practices.
• Excellent communication with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Experience developing activities and engagement opportunities to enhance quality of life for residents.

Responsibilities

• Develops, coordinates, and supports person-centered programming for residents with dementia.
• Collaborates with nursing, therapy, social services, activities, and leadership to promote resident care.
• Educates staff and supports staff through coaching and formal training.
• Upholds the philosophies and standards of the Memory Care Program.
