Job summary

Ellore Senior Living is seeking a Medication Technician to supervise and assist in the administration of medications for memory care residents. The role includes direct personal care, encouraging resident participation in activities, and coordinating with staff to ensure safety and quality care.

The position requires 1 year of medication assistance experience in a RCFE, strong customer service, and the ability to work within regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Prefer one (1) year of experience assisting with medication at a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE).
• Based on state regulation, completion of training/certification may be required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is a plus.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including TB Tests.
• Vaccination and PPE requirements may be required to prevent the spread of COVID-19 or other illnesses.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with the resident, pharmacy, and physician.
• Order and track all medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential resident medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
