Job summary

Avamere Communities is seeking a Medication Tech (Assisted Living) for a part-time role at Avamere at Bethany, Portland, OR. The position covers day shifts including Saturdays and involves administering medications and providing direct care to residents.

Responsibilities include accurate med administration, documentation in the resident record, and coordination with nursing and pharmacy. Requires CPR/First Aid certification and a warm, professional demeanor with seniors.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Caregiver/Medication Tech in memory care or assisted living.
• Must hold active CPR/First Aid certification.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Pass medications according to physician orders under supervision of licensed nurse.
• Administer meds accurately and timely and record in resident records.
• Notify pharmacy or family when meds need refills.
• Maintain clean, organized medication cart/room.
• Monitor and report medication side effects to Health Services Director.
• Follow care plans and assist with medical appointments and advocacy for residents.
• Observe residents for health changes and document in EMR with changes to orders.
