Job summary

Liberty Place Memory Care in Ohio is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician to oversee health services for residents under supervision. You will supervise staff, ensure safe medication administration, and maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

You will collaborate with families and physicians, provide information about residents' conditions, participate in annual inspections, and contribute to the department's strategic health plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical training may be required.
• At least three years of experience in a geriatric setting or equivalent.
• Medication Technician Certification or State equivalent required.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.
• Criminal record clearance or exemption as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents' health and safety needs; oversee medications and treatments.
• Assure the social model of assisted living is implemented.
• Assist with family contact when medical issues arise and discuss conditions.
• Provide assessment input to the clinical services director.
• Participate in annual inspections and develop health-related strategic plans.
• Act as back-up to the director in their absence.
• Attend in-service training, workshops, and meetings.
• Respond to emergencies and liaise with doctors and residents.
• Schedule transportation for residents when needed.
• Perform other related essential duties as required.
