Job summary

Pasadena Highlands is seeking a dependable Memory Care Med-Tech to join our care team in Pasadena, CA. You will coordinate medication services with residents, the local pharmacy and physicians, and verify dosages before dispensing to residents.

Starting pay is $19.00 per hour with a potential $23.00/hour on higher shifts or with experience. A $400 hiring bonus is offered ($200 after training and $200 after six months). Prior elder care experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus completed Medication Administration Course with passing grade.
• At least 1 year of experience passing medications; elder care preferred.
• Ability to follow directions, communicate in English and perform simple mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate medication services with resident, pharmacy and physician.
• Track orders for medication changes and refills; inform supervisor of updates.
• Maintain accurate resident medication and care records; update MAR sheets.
• Prepare medications for distribution per policy and care plans.
• Maintain medicine carts, inventory and ensure safety of medication rooms.
