Job summary

The Pennant Group, Inc. is seeking a Medication Aide for our Memory Care of Contra Costa in Pleasant Hill, California. You will administer prescribed medications, observe residents, document in MARs, and report concerns to the Wellness Director.

You will assist with activities of daily living, support resident independence, and uphold our CAPLICO Core Values. CPR certification is preferred, and HS diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of medication assistance training in compliance with state regulatory requirements.
• Maintains up-to-date medication certification requirements according to state regulations.
• Compassionate and empathetic in personal interactions.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Self-supervising, self-motivating; willing to collaborate and work as a team member.
• Adaptable and flexible; highly organized with ability to manage multiple demands/tasks concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed medications and treatments to residents per state requirements.
• Observes residents taking medication and notes effects, documenting in MARs.
• Communicates concerns or observations to Wellness Director or designated personnel.
• Supports residents with activities of daily living and preserves dignity through professional conduct.
