Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Summit, NJ is seeking an Activities Assistant for memory care to serve as a Life Enrichment Manager. You will create Life Skills experiences that foster purpose, familiarity, and meaningful moments for residents living with memory loss.

You will develop and implement individualized activities, engage residents daily, and organize groups while coordinating with the care team to tailor programs to cognitive abilities.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience working with memory-impaired seniors.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt activities to cognitive ability.
• Experience leading group activities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized Life Skills based on resident interests and abilities.
• Engage residents daily in meaningful, familiar routines.
• Organize small groups and enrichment clubs.
• Review ISPs, Resident Profiles, and demographic information to tailor activities.
• Document participation per quality standards.
• Maintain Life Skills stations and program supplies.
• Encourage team members and volunteers to support engagement.
• Assist residents to and from programs and activities.
