Job summary

Sunnyside is seeking a Life Enrichment Specialist/Memory Care Coordinator to develop and implement meaningful, therapeutic life enrichment programs for Assisted Living residents, especially those with cognitive impairment.

This role promotes residents’ well-being and requires coordinating assessments, care plans, and budgets, while supervising staff and collaborating with families and departments to enhance quality of life.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and experience in aging/disability areas.
• Qualified Activity Professional; NCCAP certification or willingness to obtain.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer's disease and dementia programming.
• Strong communication and hospitable, organized approach.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement life enrichment programs for Memory Support residents.
• Welcome new residents and learn preferences to tailor activities.
• Encourage participation across individual and group activities.
• Coordinate transportation and special events with safety in mind.
• Supervise Activity Assistants and mentor volunteers and staff.
• Maintain calendars, budgets, and documentation for programs.
