Job summary

Village Shores is hiring a Reflections Coordinator to facilitate daily activities in our Memory Care neighborhood in Richfield, MN. This is a full-time day-shift role offering competitive pay and a mission-driven culture.

You will assist the Director in planning and delivering engaging programs for residents with dementia, staying current on dementia care practices, and collaborating with families, staff, and community partners. Strong communication and organization are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Working knowledge of Dementia and other memory care diagnoses including Alzheimer’s and Dementia training.
• Excellent time management and communication skills and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work closely with the Director, but can carry out tasks independently or as a part of a team.
• At least 1 year in an activity programming-related position, preferably memory care, or experience as a caregiver.
• Have the physical, mental, and emotional health and energy to perform the requirements of the job.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director in the planning, facilitating and monitoring the Memory Care Program to ensure the overall success of all resident programs in the Reflections Neighborhood.
• Facilitate meaningful programs for residents with dementia by taking individual needs into account and assuring customer satisfaction to the highest degree possible.
• Serve as an informed expert by staying up-to-date and knowledgeable about all the products and procedures of the community.
• Be involved and interact with people (residents, families, visitors, staff, home care agency, potential referral sources, community services, other health providers, community groups, etc.).
• Use computer programs in Microsoft Office for public communications, calendar creation, and newsletter development, or be willing to learn and implement.
