Job summary

American Senior Communities at Salem Crossing is seeking a Memory Care Director/Support Specialist to lead our memory care program, uphold CARE values, and ensure high-quality resident care. You will oversee care protocols, mentor staff, and implement person-centered approaches for residents with dementia.

This role emphasizes collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, engagement with residents and families, and adherence to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Understanding social work principles, psychosocial assessments and interventions.
• Train, observe and redirect staff through education of the Alzheimer disease process.
• Empathetic engagement with residents and families; clear communication with interdisciplinary teams.
• Create a comforting, engaging atmosphere for residents.

Responsibilities

• Manage and implement memory care programs and standards.
• Lead staff education on dementia care and person-centered approaches.
• Collaborate with departments, consultants, and regulatory agencies.
