Job summary

Solera Senior Living in Evanston, IL seeks a Director of Memory Care to lead dementia-focused programming, assessments, and family support. The role requires strong leadership, regulatory compliance, and a patient-centered approach to protect residents’ well-being.

You will oversee team development, ensure accurate documentation, and collaborate with physicians and care teams to maintain high standards of care.

Qualifications

• College degree with dementia care coursework or 2+ years management with dementia (Illinois regs).
• Degree in social work/psychology/sociology/gerontology preferred.
• Licensed nursing or healthcare professional strongly preferred.
• Minimum 1 year dementia care experience; 1 year management experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead and evaluate the Memory Care program (Aspyre neighborhood) in line with standards.
• Oversee assessments, care plans, and documentation.
• Hire, train and supervise Memory Care staff; ensure appropriate coverage.
• Coordinate family communications and service plan meetings.
