Job summary

Cogir Senior Living in Chesapeake, VA seeks a Memory Care Director to oversee the Memory Care neighborhood, train and supervise memory care staff, support care plan execution, and keep families informed.

You will partner with the Lifestyle team to provide engaging activities for residents, focusing on physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being, while adhering to state regulations and Cogir policies. Compassion and dementia expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in gerontology, nursing, social work, or related field preferred.
• CDP certification preferred or equivalent dementia training.
• 3–5 years of experience in assisted living/m memory care.
• 2+ years in a supervisory role for dementia care.

Responsibilities

• Train and supervise memory care staff.
• Coordinate care plans and maintain communications with residents' families.
• Support programming to meet residents' social, physical and psychosocial needs.
• Maintain resident records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist with daily living activities as needed.
