Job summary

Cascade Living Group is seeking a Memory Care Director for Mt. Bachelor Assisted Living and Memory Care to oversee the memory care department and staff.

You will hire, guide, and supervise memory care personnel, while collaborating with community leaders to meet residents’ needs. The role requires 2 years of senior living management or clinical nursing/administration experience, an ALF/RCF administrator license, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • Two years minimum experience in senior living management.
  • ALF/RCF Administrators License required.
  • Ability to hire, supervise and develop staff; lead programs.
  • Strong record-keeping and reporting for residents.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents and team.

Responsibilities

  • Administer the Special Needs Program as directed by ED and Cascade Living Group.
  • Supervise and monitor performance of the wellness team.
  • Lead staffing: interviews, hiring, onboarding, and training.
  • Manage department scheduling.
  • Oversee life enrichment activities and dementia support group planning.
  • Promptly notify ED of emergencies.
  • Participate in resident orientation and care plan changes.
  • Attend required training and meetings.

Job description

As theMemory CareDirector at Mt. Bachelor Assisted Living and Memory Care, you’ll oversee the memory care department and all functions relating to the memory care department. This position is pivotal, and as the memory care leader, you'll have the responsibility of hiring, guiding and encouraging our memory care staff, while also collaborating with other leaders in the community to meet the comprehensive needs of our residents.

What we look for in a Memory Care Director:
  • Required two years of clinical nursing practice or long-term care administration/ supervision
  • Able to prepare, implement and review goals, action plans, and objectives for resident needs
  • Able to conduct proper and timely record keeping and reporting for residents and superiors
  • Ability to complete all duties involved in the hiring and management of personnel
  • Promote a positive image and reputation of the community
  • Can maintain the confidentiality of co-workers and residents alike
  • Able to communicate ideas well
  • Ability to ask questions and listen to residents and co-workers to gain an understanding
  • Represent and promote activities and community programs
  • Able to organize and manage both information and time effectively
  • Sufficient literacy skills to read care plans and other procedures and to complete required reports
What You Can Expect to Do:
  • Administration of the Special Needs Program as outlined by Executive Director (ED), Cascade Living Group, and applicable state and federal laws.
  • Supervision and performance monitoring of team members assigned to you, and application of department services to residents in the community
  • Lead staffing by conducting interviews, hiring, and onboarding and training of wellness team
  • Oversee and manage scheduling for the department
  • Lead and assist the life enrichment coordinator in planning monthly Alzheimer's and Dementia support group and ensure life enrichment programming is meeting needs of residents
  • Prompt notification to ED of all emergencies and situations beyond the scope of your responsibilities or capabilities
  • Participate in resident orientation and identification of potential changes or concerns within the care plan of each resident
  • Participate in required training, meetings, and orientations offered by the employer
Position Requirements:
  • 2 Years Minimum Experience in Senior Living Management Role
  • ALF/RCF Administrators License

$75,000 - $90,000/annually
*Depending on Experience
