Saber Healthcare Group in North Carolina seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support residents with dementia in a skilled nursing facility. You will plan, implement, and oversee dementia programming to enhance residents' emotional, cognitive, physical, and social well-being.

This full-time role offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus, flexible pay options including on-demand and weekly pay, and a comprehensive benefits package along with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) preferred; may consider related fields.
• Current Dementia Practitioner certification preferred or obtainable within six months of hire.
• Minimum of two years of long-term care or memory care programming experience.

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of your job is to coordinate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide comprehensive care and support for residents with dementia and/or dementia-related conditions. You will plan, organize, implement, and oversee specialized dementia programming that aligns with best practices in cognitive wellness. This position supports the overall goals of enhancing the emotional, cognitive, physical, and social well-being of each resident through structured, individualized, and compassionate programming.

Education/Qualifications:

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) preferred. May consider Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Recreational Therapy, or a related field.

• Current certification as a Dementia Practitioner preferred or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire.

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in long-term care or memory care programming as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or other discipline as noted above.
