Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Suffolk, VA is seeking a compassionate Resident Care Aide to support residents with daily activities, meals, and mobility. You will respond to calls, assist with transfers, and participate in activity planning, while upholding confidentiality and professional standards.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and completion of a state-approved personal care aide program. Weekends and holidays flexibility is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed an approved personal care aide program per state regulations.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to work well with all levels of staff and residents.
• Willingness to work weekends/holidays and flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Report incidents involving residents to appropriate individuals (e.g., HCD, RN/LPN, or ED).
• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Perform housekeeping duties as directed by supervisor.
• Respond promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
• Assist in planning and conducting resident activity programs.
• Assist residents with move-in transition and provide emotional support.
• Follow confidentiality policies regarding resident information.
• Ensure residents attend meals and activities; monitor health status and report concerns.
