Job summary

Harmony Senior Services, LLC in Suffolk, VA is hiring a CNA/PCA for a full-time 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. shift in memory care.

The position requires high school diploma or GED, completion of a state-approved PCA program, and CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it within 60 days of hire. Responsibilities include assisting residents with daily living, performing light housekeeping, responding to calls, and supporting activity programs.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have successfully completed approved personal care aide program per state regulations as applicable.
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in-writing.
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.
• Must be a contributing member of nursing team and follow instruction of supervisor.
• Must be polite and considerate of residents, visitors, and co-workers at all times.
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, and push or carry 25 lbs.
• Must be able to safely lift and transfer residents while maintaining proper body mechanics.
• Must be in designated uniform during working hours, to include name badge.
• Must have CPR/First Aid certified, or be willing to become certified within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality care and assistance with activities of daily living to residents.
• Reports incidents involving residents to appropriate individuals.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living and housekeeping duties.
• Responds promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergency alerts.
• Assists in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Communicates resident status and information to the team; supports move-in transitions.
