Job summary

MaineGeneral Health System is seeking a Memory Care CNA for Glenridge in Augusta. You will provide compassionate memory care and assist residents with Alzheimer’s and dementia in a warm, supportive setting.

Responsibilities include basic patient care, greeting and routing calls, reporting changes to the nursing team, and keeping rooms clean and stocked. Part-time schedule is days, 24 hours per week with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Active State of Maine CNA certification.
• Prior experience working with individuals affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia is preferred.
• Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care activities within the scope of practice. Assists patients with meeting their emotional, physical, and spiritual needs.
• Greets patients and visitors. Answers, screens, and routes telephone calls. Calls codes, pages, and overhead announcements as requested.
• Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to the nursing staff.
• Assists with keeping unit and patient rooms stocked, clean, and orderly.
