Job summary

Ascension in Waco, TX seeks a compassionate Nurse Aide to provide direct care, assist with activities of daily living, and support safety within Memory Care. The role requires assisting with hygiene, transfers, and daily tasks under RN supervision, ensuring timely reporting of any changes in patients' condition.

Minimum licensure and experience are required; BLS is preferred. The position is part-time with rotating/PRN schedules and offers retirement and well-being benefits to eligible

Qualifications

• Nurse Aide obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• BLS Provider preferred.
• Memory Care experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Direct Care & ADLs: Assist patients with basic care activities, personal hygiene, daily living tasks (ADLs), and safe transfers or transport.
• Clinical Support & Reporting: Assist with physician-ordered procedures under RN supervision and promptly report physical, mental, or emotional changes to nursing staff.
• Safety & Environment: Maintain clean, orderly patient rooms and actively identify and respond to safety hazards or emergency situations.
