Job summary

Discovery Village at Southlake 2 is seeking a Care Giver/Medication Technician (PRN) in Southlake, TX. You will provide hands-on care, administer medications, and support residents in a home-like environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, medication administration, and documenting changes. Certification as CNA preferred; HS diploma required; CPR/First Aid preferred. Benefits include competitive wages and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse's Aide certification preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and demonstrate good judgment

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and supervision for residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, transferring, eating)
• Administer and observe medications and treatments
• Monitor and record resident conditions and changes
• Engage residents in enrichment programs and life skills activities
• Maintain a clean, safe environment in resident rooms and common areas
• Respond promptly to resident call bells and systems
• Communicate with residents, families, supervisors, and healthcare staff regarding needs and changes
• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and confidentiality policies
• Other duties as assigned
