Job summary

Avamere Skilled Advisors, LLC d/b/a Avamere Living in Portland, OR is hiring for a Caregiver in Memory Care. Multiple FT and PT shifts are available, including day, swing, and night schedules at the Avamere Bethany location.

Wage ranges from $18.58 to $24.24 per hour, DOE, with a $100 perfect attendance bonus for full-time staff and $75 for part-time staff. Benefits are provided, and CPR/First Aid and Food Handler certifications are required or obtainable during employment.

Qualifications

• Prefer experience as a Caregiver in a Memory Care Unit or Assisted Living Facility.
• Must obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification during employment.
• Must obtain a Food Handler's Card.
• Experience in electronic medical records documentation.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents and guests.
• Genuine desire to improve quality of life for seniors.
• Create and uphold warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and a calm environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting.
• Provide emotional support and companionship; engage residents to reduce loneliness.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment including laundry and housekeeping.
• Monitor health, report concerns, and observe vital signs as needed.
• Assist with orientation of new residents and staff; support other duties as assigned.
