Job summary

Mennonite Village's Lydia's House in Oregon is seeking caring caregivers to support residents with daily living activities in a memory care setting. This role offers full-time NOC and part-time day shift options, with emphasis on safety, dignity, and meaningful engagement.

You will assist with ADLs, meals, mobility, and health monitoring, while adhering to resident rights and confidentiality. Requirements include 18+, HS diploma, Heimlich training, First Aid and Food Handler within 120 days;

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Heimlich maneuver training.
• First Aid certification and Food Handler’s card within 120 days of hire.
• Demonstrated understanding of resident rights, dignity, and confidentiality.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Respond promptly to call lights and ensure they remain within residents’ reach.
• Assist with meal preparation, serving, set-up, feeding, and clean-up.
• Support residents with mobility, positioning, transfers, and transportation to activities.
• Monitor resident health status and report changes promptly to the Team Leader or licensed nurse.
