Brookdale Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Memory Care Caregiver who specializes in dementia care. This role involves supporting residents with daily activities, promoting their independence, and ensuring a respectful environment. Memory Care Caregiver (Finance)
Provides dementia care including adapted ADLs, meaningful engagement, and communication to residents following a person-centered individual service plan. Treats residents with respect and dignity, recognizes individual needs, and encourages independence. Fosters a purposeful and engaging culture throughout the community.
Assists residents and provides input regarding the care plan and daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and attending programs and meals, following the individual service plan and interventions. Partners with residents to promote independence, encouraging them to perform as much of their own care as possible.
Participates in team behavioral expression meetings or discussions with community leadership. Knows residents' Life Stories, preferences, routines, and interests.
Serves meals in the dining room and may assist in preparing meals following dementia-friendly menus. Encourages residents to eat properly and hydrate, respecting their right to free choice. Records and reports changes in eating habits to the supervisor.
Initiates or leads at least one Daily Path engagement program based on residents' Life Stories, Solace program, or calendar. Encourages socialization and participation in person-centered programs, fostering friendships among residents.
Maintains residents' records daily, including documentation related to medication, engagement interests, incidents, observations, and changes in physical or emotional condition. Reports any health or behavioral changes promptly to the supervisor.
If permitted by state regulations, may assist with medication administration following physician orders and legal requirements. Adheres to medication policies and procedures.
Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment, performing housekeeping tasks for residents' areas, laundry, and communal spaces. Responds promptly to emergency situations and resident requests, including emergency pull cords and family inquiries.
Monitors residents' locations and reports if a resident cannot be located. Promotes teamwork through cooperative interactions with colleagues.

The salary range is $12.16 to $15.20 per hour, based on experience and skills. The role may include bonus opportunities. Benefits eligibility varies for full-time and part-time associates. Veterans and military spouses are encouraged to apply, with support for naturalization costs available.
