Responsibilities

  • Provide dementia care, including ADL support, meaningful engagement, and communication, following individual care plans.
  • Assist with daily activities like bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and transfers, encouraging independence.
  • Participate in team meetings and understand residents' life stories and preferences.
  • Serve meals, assist with feeding, and monitor dietary intake.
  • Lead engagement programs and promote socialization among residents.
  • Maintain accurate and timely resident records.
  • Assist with medication administration as permitted by state law.
  • Ensure a clean, safe environment and respond promptly to resident needs and emergencies.
  • Monitor residents' locations and report any concerns.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; 3-6 months experience preferred in dementia or elder care.
  • Knowledge of dementia, especially Alzheimer's.
  • State certification may be required.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, and perform physical tasks.
  • Must be able to work weekends, evenings, or nights as needed.
  • Potential exposure to infectious diseases and hazards.

Additional Information

Salary range: $12.16 - $15.20/hour. Employment is full-time, entry level, in the healthcare industry. We support diversity and are an equal opportunity employer.
