Job summary

Avalon Memory Care is seeking dedicated caregivers at our Cedar Park, TX location. You will assist residents with daily living activities, support care plans, and help with transfers and medications to ensure safe, compassionate care for seniors with dementia.

We value a positive attitude, professional appearance, and initiative, with opportunities for growth within our memory care team.

Qualifications

Must clear a criminal background check.
Documentation of immunizations.
Must be at least 18 years of age or a high school graduate.
Experience with Seniors is preferred; CNA is preferred but not required.
Be able to lift, carry, push and pull 50 pounds.
Must also possess patience and understanding to care for residents with dementia.
Positive attitude and outgoing personality.
Maintain a professional appearance.
Willingness to take initiative and react to crises in a home for dementia sufferers.
Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, restroom assistance).
Implement and support resident care plans.
Assist residents in transferring (bed to wheelchair) when needed.
Provide a clean home for residents (rooms, kitchen, laundry) according to schedule.
Provide medication assistance by reminding residents to take medications and observing they take them.
