Job summary

Highgrove Senior Living in Lexington, KY is seeking a part-time and full-time Activity Assistant for memory care to support daily activities from 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with every other weekend required. We value a caring and creative approach to enriching residents' lives.

Qualifications

• Friendly, upbeat personality with a genuine love for working with seniors
• Ability to motivate and engage individuals with varying abilities
• Creativity and willingness to try new ideas
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Dependability and a positive, can-do attitude
• Experience in senior living, activities, recreation, or caregiving is a plus—but not required

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and leading daily activities such as crafts, games, music, exercise, outings, and special events
• Encourage resident participation and help adapt activities to individual needs and abilities
• Build warm, positive relationships with residents and families
• Help maintain organized activity supplies and spaces
• Support special celebrations, themed events, and community partnerships
• Transport or escort residents safely to and from programs
• Document participation and provide updates to the Life Enrichment Director
