Job summary

Morning Pointe Senior Living in Lexington, Kentucky is seeking a Life Enrichment Activities Assistant to implement resident-focused programs and coordinate group and individual activities to enhance residents' quality of life.

The ideal candidate has experience with seniors, especially memory care, strong verbal and written communication, good organization, basic computer skills, and the ability to engage residents through daily activities and events.

Qualifications

• Experience in senior resident services and activities for seniors with memory care needs.
• Life Enrichment experience in a senior living community preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication; organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills; Windows 98 and basic Office Suite.
• Occasional travel required; valid driver’s license and proof of insurability.

Responsibilities

• Implement Morning Pointe programs such as hydration, falls prevention, exercise.
• Identify and share resident success stories and best practices to improve quality of service.
• Assist with assessments to identify lifestyles and needs in the resident’s record.
• Conduct individual and group life enrichment programs; minimum six group activities daily.
• Meet with residents regularly to encourage programming participation.
• Assist in coordinating regular family events.
• Assist with mail distribution and snacks as needed.
• Assist Program Director with transportation for residents as needed.
• Develop community relations programs and events.
• Greet visitors and answer the telephone when not engaged in activities.
