Job summary

Heritage Pointe is seeking an Activity Assistant to join the Life Enrichment team. You will plan and lead engaging activities for memory care residents, creating meaningful experiences that foster connection, dignity, and joy within the community.

The role requires scene leadership, strong communication, and the ability to work independently in a busy, resident-centered environment. This is a full-time, in-person position with flexibility for scheduled community events.

Qualifications

• Friendly and have desire to work with elderly population.
• Good listener, organized, and able to work independently.
• Able to communicate effectively with staff, residents and families.
• Must know and uphold Resident Rights.
• All applicants will undergo a drug screen, criminal history check, and physical as part of the interview process.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership.
• Plan, develop, and implement appropriate memory care activities and monthly calendars.
• Work independently to manage assigned area operations.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding conversations with residents and families.
• Assist with transporting residents and being available during organized activities planned for the Heritage Pointe community.
• Provide quality activity interaction with residents.
• Assist in performing other duties as requested by the Activity Director.
• Complete mandatory in-services, as required.
• Maintain good working relations with team members in all departments.
