Job summary

Pine Haven Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Memory Care Activity Aide to design and lead engaging activities for memory care residents in a dedicated setting.

You will collaborate with the care team to promote cognitive stimulation, socialization, and overall well-being, while ensuring a safe and friendly environment for participants and their families.

Qualifications

• Experience with seniors, particularly with dementia, is preferred.
• Training will be provided to new hires.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate activities such as art, music, games, and social events.

Memory Care Activity Aide Responsibilities

• Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement activities that cater to the unique needs and interests of our memory care residents


• Lead and facilitate a variety of activities, including art, music, games, and social events, to promote cognitive stimulation, socialization, and emotional well-being


• Create a safe and supportive environment that encourages residents to participate and engage in activities, fostering a sense of community and belonging


• Document residents' participation and progress, providing insight and recommendations to the care team


• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure seamless interactions and support

Memory Care Activity Aide Requirements

• Previous experience working with seniors, particularly those with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia, is preferred


• Training will be provided


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and caring demeanor
