Job summary

Sterling Healthcare Management, LLC is seeking an energetic Activity Aide for memory care to bring joy, purpose, and connection to residents. You will plan and lead group activities and support special events while building real relationships with residents in a compassionate, service-oriented environment.

The role requires weekend availability and a warm, patient personality. Training will be provided, with a focus on engaging memory-impaired residents and creating meaningful daily experiences.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Candidate should be warm, patient and enthusiastic.
• Creative, energetic and able to engage a room.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist with group activities including arts and crafts, music, games, and exercise programs.
• Provide one-on-one activities for residents who cannot attend group programs.
• Adapt activities for residents with dementia, memory impairment, or physical limitations.
• Set up, facilitate, and clean up activity spaces before and after each program.
• Assist with special events, holiday celebrations, and themed dining programs.
• Decorate the facility for seasons and holidays to create a warm environment.
• Document resident participation accurately in the activity record.
• Escort and assist residents to and from activity programs safely.
• Support volunteers and community visitors during programs.
• Report any resident behavioral changes or concerns to the nurse.

What You'll Do

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required

• Prior experience working with elderly or memory care populations preferred — will train the right person

• Warm, patient, and enthusiastic personality

• Creative, energetic, and able to engage a room

• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or must obtain within 30 days

• Ability to work weekdays and rotating weekends

• Activity professional certification a plus — not required
