Job summary

Country Meadows in Wyomissing, PA is seeking a Memory Care Activities Coordinator who will work closely with Assisted Living residents to create engaging experiences and foster participation. The role emphasizes compassion for older adults and a creative, big-picture approach to wellness and arts.

Core duties include generating ideas for activities, encouraging pride and purpose, coordinating on- and off-site events, and collaborating with the team to maintain a positive, energetic environment

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in group socialization or recreational programs preferred.
• Leadership style should be energetic, personable, positive, enthusiastic, creative and imaginative.
• Ability to communicate intentions and directions to residents and co-workers; active listening and empathy.
• Strong motivational skills to positively influence resident participation.
• Valid driver’s license with no major violations in the past three years.
• Ability to perform the physical tasks required in this role.

Responsibilities

• Generate ideas for new and favorite experiences.
• Drive residents’ interest in a dynamic lifestyle to promote pride and purpose.
• Ventures out with residents to theaters, museums, sports events, restaurants and more.
• Team up with the Coordinators to plan on/offsite events and activities.
• Promote a positive, enthusiastic environment to motivate resident engagement.
