Preventive Measures is seeking an Activities Assistant to support memory care and dementia care residents in Bethlehem, PA. The role focuses on engaging residents through person-centered activities designed to promote dignity, independence, and quality of life.

The position involves planning, leading, and documenting activities, with opportunities for one-on-one engagement and group programs, while maintaining safety and compassionate care for individuals with cognitive impairments.

Formación

• Strong communication, patience, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing memory loss and behavioral challenges.
• Basic computer and documentation skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in planning and conducting daily activity programs designed specifically for memory care residents.
• Encourage resident participation in group and individual activities.
• Lead activities such as arts and crafts, music therapy, exercise classes, games, reminiscence programs, sensory stimulation, and social events.
• Provide one-on-one engagement for residents who are unable to participate in group activities.
• Monitor residents during activities and report changes in behavior or mood to nursing staff.
• Document resident attendance, participation, and responses to activities according to facility policies.
