Job summary

Country Meadows is seeking an Activities Coordinator to create experiences for residents in memory care and personal care. The role requires leadership, empathy, and the ability to engage older adults in arts and wellness activities.

This full-time position offers a 9:00am–5:00pm schedule (with alternating shifts), competitive pay (19–21 USD per hour) based on experience, and full benefits including health, vision, dental, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Prior experience in retirement living preferred.
• Leadership style that is energetic, personable, positive, enthusiastic, creative and imaginative.
• Ability to communicate intentions and directions to residents and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Generate ideas for new and favorite experiences.
• Drive residents' interest in a dynamic lifestyle to promote a sense of pride and purpose.
• Venture out with residents to theaters, museums, sporting events, restaurants, special destinations and more.
• Team up with the Activities Coordinator and/or Associate in preparing and planning on and offsite events and activities.
• Promote a positive, enthusiastic environment to motivate resident engagement.
• Invite and encourage residents to attend memory support meetings and activities.
• Plan and facilitate a daily morning meeting for memory care residents.
• Lead stimulating cognitive exercise.
• Maintain required documentation of resident participation in programs.
