Job summary

Highlands Nursing & Rehab is seeking a Memory Care Activities Assistant (SRNA) for the Day Shift. You will organize and participate in person-specific activity programming, including one-to-one interventions, small group facilitation, and large group presentations.

Responsibilities include utilizing the environment to provide comfort and stimulation, fostering a sense of community, leading activities, and coordinating diverse programming such as pet therapy, music therapy, and art therapy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• SRNA certification required.
• Activity Assistant Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the environment to provide both comfort and stimulation to the resident population.
• Foster a sense of community within the community environment.
• Lead and participate in individual and group activities.
• Utilize models such as pet therapy, music therapy, art therapy, etc. for programming.
• Assist with decorating the facility and preparing for events and seasonal parties.
• Develop and post monthly activity calendar for residents and families.
• Participate in recreational programs for residents confined to their rooms.
• Promote volunteer efforts in the community.
• Maintain records of activities and attendance.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Activity Assistant Certification preferred

SRNA certification required
