Job summary

High Point Fort Mill is seeking an Activity Assistant for Memory Care to plan and implement therapeutic recreational programs for residents. You will coordinate with the Director and other staff to ensure programs meet regulatory standards and enhance residents' daily living.

The role involves planning monthly activity schedules, coordinating transportation, and supporting volunteer efforts while maintaining records and assisting with newsletters and committees.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years of related work experience in the senior living industry or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate programs of therapeutic recreational activities for residents in coordination with Director.
• Consult with other departments to implement activities addressing residents' physical, emotional and social needs.
• Assist in coordinating transportation and accompany residents on outings as scheduled.
• Develop and post a monthly schedule of activities by the first day of the month and maintain records for twelve months.
• Assist with the volunteer program to meet residents' needs.
• Monitor and maintain budgetary records for the department.
• Coordinate with staff on scheduling of events and use of facilities.
• Assist in preparing monthly community newsletter and planning of member committees.
