Job summary

Manor Lake Bridgemill is seeking an Activities Assistant to support the Activities Director in planning and coordinating programs that reflect residents' interests and beliefs, providing life-enriching opportunities for residents and the community.

You will help develop and promote an engaging activities calendar and monthly newsletter, while coordinating with volunteers, caterers, and entertainers to ensure successful events.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Patience, tact, enthusiasm and positive attitude toward the elderly.
• Must have upper body strength to bend, lift and move articles over 25 pounds.
• Must be able to squat, reach and stretch; tolerate extended periods walking/standing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and promotion of an Activities Program for residents and community.
• Prepare monthly community newsletter and activity calendar.
• Obtain a historical and interest profile for each resident.
• Develop and implement a volunteer program for resident activities.
• Coordinate with caterers, entertainers, decorators and others for events.
• Facilitate socialization among residents and chaperone activities outside the community.
• Drive the Company van for residents’ activities.
• Assist with leasing/marketing activities for potential residents.
• Help decorate the community for events, seasons, and holidays.
• Participate in the Manager on Duty program on assigned weekends.
