Job summary

Cogir Senior Living in Mooresville, NC is seeking a Memory Care Lifestyle Coordinator (Activity Assistant) to plan and deliver meaningful programs for residents with Alzheimer’s and dementia. You will create an engaging environment that fosters social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and emotional well-being, while partnering with the care team.

The ideal candidate is compassionate, patient, and experienced with memory care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Dementia Practitioner or Montessori training is a plus.
• 1–2 years of relevant senior care experience.
• Experience with dementia/Alzheimer’s preferred.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Ability to work independently and follow plans.
• Patient, compassionate, respectful treatment of residents.
• Flexible shifts including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver memory care programs and life enrichment activities.
• Lead group and one-on-one activities tailored to cognitive abilities.
• Collaborate with care team to align activities with care plans.
• Coordinate special events and seasonal activities.
• Document outcomes and monitor progress.
• Support the Resident Lifestyle Director as needed.
