Job summary

Homestead of Chariton Memory Care is seeking an Activities Assistant to implement activity programs and meet the diverse needs of residents. You will help plan large group, small group, and individual activities while maintaining required regulatory documentation and attendance records.

You will handle initial assessments, create monthly calendars and newsletters, post updates on boards, and manage monthly contributions.

Qualifications

• Duties include implementing an activity program to meet residents' physical, mental, psychosocial needs and interests.
• Assist plan activities for large group, small group, and individual participation as scheduled.
• Maintain documentation per State and Federal regulations and attendance book.
• Initial assessment, picture and front name board.
• Compose monthly contributions including the Activities calendar, newsletter, menu board updates and nametags.

Responsibilities

• Assist plan activities to meet resident’s specific needs, to include large group, small group, and individual participation as scheduled.
• Maintain documentation as required by State and Federal regulations and attendance book.
• Responsible for initial assessment, picture and front name board.
• Compose monthly contributions, including the monthly Activities calendar, pass out newsletter, post daily contributions on menu board, date board and pass out nametags.
• Plant and Pet care.
